Healthy Tourism(건강 여행)

Mr. Peterson, a tourist from Toronto, arrived in Israel.

토론토 출신의 여행가 피터슨이 이스라엘에 도착했다.

In an airport taxi cab, Peterson asked the driver, "Say, is this really a healthful

place?"

공항택시를 타고, 피터슨이 운전수에게 물었다. “봅시다, 여기가 정말로 건강에 좋은 곳이 맞나요?

"It sure is," the cabby replied. "When I came here I couldn't say one word. I had

hardly any hair on my head. I didn't have the strength to walk across a room, and I had to be lifted out of bed."

운전원이 대답했다. “물론이지요, 나는 여기 왔을 때 말을 한마디도 못했답니다. 머리엔 머리카락도 없었고요. 방을 걸어갈 힘도 없었고요, 침대를 벗어날 때도 들어서 옮겨져야만 했답니다.”

"That's wonderful!" said the tourist, "How long have you been here?"

“그거 대단하군요!”라고 여행객은 말했다. “여기 온 지가 얼마나 되었지요?”

"I was born here."

“난 여기서 태어났다오.”

 

*그 운전사는 거기가 고향이니 태어날 땐 당연히 아무 것도 할 수 없는 갓난애였지요.ㅎㅎㅎ

건강에 과민한 여행객에게 보기 좋게 한방 먹였네요.ㅎㅎㅎ
