"In Both Ears" (양쪽 귀로)

"It's no good, sir," said the hopeless pupil to his English teacher. "I try to learn, but everything you say goes in both ears and out the other."

 “선생님, 아무런 효과가 없어요. 나는 배우려고 노력은 하지만, 선생님이 말하는 것은 전부 다 양쪽 귀로 들어와서는 다른 귀로 나가버려요.”라고, 희망이라곤 없는 학생 한 명이 자기 영어선생에게 말했답니다.

 

"Goes in both ears and out the other?" asked the puzzled teacher. "But you only have two ears, boy."

이 말에 황당함을 느낀 선생이 물었다. “뭐~ 양쪽 귀로 와서는 다른 쪽 귀로 나간다고? 야, 그런데 넌 귀가 두 개밖에 없지 않아?”

 

"Guess I'm no good at math, either!"

“선생님, 저는 수학도 형편없쟎아요?”

 

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 이 녀석 제 귀도 못 헤아린다고 선생님을 놀려대나 봅니다.ㅎㅎㅎㅎ
