- Coin Test

During class, the chemistry professor was demonstrating the properties 

of various acids. "Now I'm dropping this silver coin into this glass 

of acid. Will it dissolve?"

"No, sir," a student called out.

"No?" queried the professor. "Perhaps you can explain why the silver 

coin won't dissolve."

"Because if it would, you wouldn't have dropped it in."

수업 중에, 화학교수가 여러 가지 산(酸)의 특성에 대해 시범을 보이고 있었다.

 “자 이제 내가 이 은동전을 산이 든 시험관에 떨어뜨릴 건데, 녹을까요?”

그러자 한 학생이 큰 소리로 “녹지 않습니다.”라고 대답했다. 

“아니라고? 그럼 왜 동전이 녹지 않는 지를 설명할 수 있겠구먼.”이라고 

그 교수가 물었다.

학생 왈,“만일 동전이 녹으면, 교수님이 떨어뜨리지 않을 것이기 때문입니다.” 

ㅎㅎㅎㅎ 학생 말이 맞지요?
